The Thomaston-Upson Arts Council has as its Mission Statement, “to enrich the lives of all citizens by providing the highest quality arts programming available.” It is the job of the Performing Arts Committee to research, review,
and select three or four performances to offer as the Performing Arts Series for each year.
It is the goal of the Performing Arts Committee to contract the highest quality of varied performances possible within the budget provided by the TUAC Board
of Directors.
The Performing Arts Schedule is the centerpiece of TUAC’s programming. It brings professional artists, musicians, and dancers to Upson County to share
their talent with our local citizens.
The Performing Arts Committee welcomes input from the TUAC board and members as to performance preferences and strives to provide programming to reach the whole community. The Committee works with the Ticket Committee, Publicity Committee, and the TUAC staff to promote ticket sales and attendance for the performances.
